  Kamal Nath is going out of way to prove he is not anti-Hindu MP Assembly Election Update: 14 October 2023 NK SINGH कमलनाथ के प्लान के मुताबिक काँग्रेस की लिस्ट इस दफा सर्वे-नाथ ने बनाई है। प्रदेश के नेताओं में आम तौर पर सहमति थी कि लिस्ट इस बार सर्वे के आधार पर बनेगी। पर क्या यह महज संयोग है कि यह लिस्ट राहुल गांधी के गेम-प्लान के मुताबिक भी है? वे अपनी पार्टी के क्षत्रपों के कार्टेल को ध्वस्त करना चाहते हैं, जो 10-15 एमएलए के बूते पर प्रदेश की पॉलिटिक्स चलाते हैं। सर्वे की कोख से निकली लिस्ट कमोबेश जीत की संभावना के आधार पर बनी है। एनपी प्रजापति जैसे अपवादों को छोड़कर कोई सप्राइज़ नहीं। बीजेपी की लिस्ट देखते हुए, काँग्रेस इस बार फूँक-फूक कर कदम रख रही थी। भाजपा उम्मीदवारों की पांचों लिस्ट 2018 के मुकाबले काफी बेहतर थी। नाम दिल्ली ने तय किए, प्रदेश के किसी भी नेता के प्रभाव से परे। चयन का आधार गुटबाजी नहीं, जीत की संभावना रही। इसलिए, दोनों तरफ के उम्मीदवारों का लाइन-अप देखकर लगता है, मुकाबला कांटे है। टिकट न मिलने से निराश नेताओं की बगावत का दौर शुरू हो गया है। यह हर चुनाव में होता है।

NK SINGH In February 2017 Vishwa Hindu Parishad expelled president of its cow protection cell in Satna district, Ashish Singh Rathore. The action was taken after Anti Terrorism Squad of Madhya Pradesh police started investigating Rathore for his links with Balram Singh, the alleged kingpin of the espionage racket for Pakistan that it had unearthed earlier. The saffron organisation announced: “VHP is a social and patriotic organisation; it does not protect traitors or anyone with links to anti-national elements.” The development came as a shock to VHP’s sister organisation, Bharatiya Janata Party, which happens to be in power in the State. It was at great pains to disown another prominent member of the spy ring, Dhruv Saxena. ATS has arrested Saxena, who described himself as information technology cell chief of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha, the ruling party’s youth wing, at Bhopal. It is a story that captures the quintessential spirit of Narmada Parikrama and the importance that the holy river occupies in lives of people living in the region. Travelling through Madhya Pradesh, a journalist friend chanced upon a saffron-robed man peddling his rickety bicycle near the busy pilgrim town of Kshipra. The man of intermittent age seemed to be on a long trip, far away from home, all his worldly possessions loaded on the bicycle. What attracted attention was a huge German Shepherd perched majestically atop the front seat of the bicycle, used normally for seating children. As the man puffed along, his best friend looked on contentedly from his throne. T he villager had embarked upon a pilgrimage of Narmada, a 2,600 km circumambulation of the holy river. Robin Hoods of Sendhwa

DB Post 29 January 2018 NK SINGH If you have never heard of Sendhwa, there is no need to be apologetic about it. It is a dusty, small town on the south-western tip of Madhya Pradesh. The one-horse town is home to some 60,000 people, most of them traders, transporters, factory owners, farmers and government servants who depend upon surrounding tribal population for their livelihood. The town, situated on Maharashtra border, is also home to some of the most notorious mafia families. They control illegal sand mining from Narmada and other rivers in the area, manage the erstwhile lucrative inter-state sales tax barrier a few kilometres ahead, and extort protection money from transporters and cotton ginning factories. The town has been a witness to internecine gang wars for decades. Sendhwa was in news recently. Digvijay Singh's Narmada Yatra नरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह अपनी राजनीतिक बयानवाजी की वजह से कांग्रेसी नेता दिग्विजय सिंह हमेशा सुर्ख़ियों में रहे हैं. अपने गुरु अर्जुन सिंह की तरह उनका भी प्रिय शगल है, संघ परिवार पर गाहे-बगाहे निशाना साधना. आश्चर्य नहीं कि वे हमेशा भगवा ताकतों के निशाने पर रहे हैं और उनकी छवि एक हिन्दू विरोधी नेता की है. पर बहुत कम लोगों को मालूम है कि वास्तविक जीवन में वे एक कट्टर धार्मिक व्यक्ति हैं, कर्मकांडी और पूजा-पाठी हिन्दू. जब वे दस वर्षों तक मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री थे तो अक्सर उनके बारे में मजाक चलता था कि मध्य प्रदेश की समस्त स्त्रियाँ मिलकर भी उतने उपवास नहीं रख सकती जितना   अकेले दिग्विजय सिंह रखते हैं.  मुन्नू को (यह घर में उनके दुलार का नाम था) धार्मिक संस्कार विरासत में अपनी मां से मिले थे. उनके एक रिश्तेदार बताते हैं, “ब्राम्ह मुहूर्त में तडके उठाकर अपने राघोगढ़ किले में वे भजन प्रारम्भ कर देती थीं.” विधि-विधान में जितने उपवास बताये गए हैं, लगभग सब के सब वे रखते हैं. लगभग हर साल वे वृन्दावन में गोवर्धन परिक्रमा करते हैं. मुख्यमंत्

In 2016, when Bhopal mayor Alok Sharma participated in a bicycle rally to mark world environment day, he would not dream of parting with his precious Lal Batti.  The mayor placed the red beacon on his cycle. “The red beacon,” said the BJP leader, “indicates mayoral position and authority.” Earlier, Health Minister Rustam Singh, a former IPS officer, had made a style statement by mounting a red beacon on his motor bike.  These may be extreme cases of people suffering from fatal attraction for trappings of power.
